Chaib Receives the Rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris

The State Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, received on Thursday at the Ministry's headquarters the Rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris, Mr. Chems-Eddine Hafiz, who paid him a courtesy visit.

This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the State's efforts and its constant commitment to strengthening the spiritual and cultural bonds connecting the national community abroad with its motherland. It also allowed for highlighting the role played by the Grand Mosque of Paris as a prominent religious and cultural landmark. The mosque contributes to promoting the tolerant teachings of Islam, based on moderation and middle-ground principles, while working to spread the values of tolerance, coexistence, and intercultural dialogue.
