The "MA FIFA" seminar dedicated to young refereeing talents began on Sunday in Oran, as part of the continuous training program established by the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) in partnership with the International Federation (FIFA), the federal body announced on its official website.
This training seminar, which will continue until April 9, is part of a cycle started three years ago, aimed at supporting the emergence of a new generation of promising referees, the same source noted.
The opening ceremony was chaired by the National Director of Refereeing, Mehdi Abid Charef, who welcomed the FIFA instructors and participants while highlighting the importance of such gatherings for the development of national refereeing.
This seminar brings together 38 referees, including four (4) women, enrolled in this training program. The sessions are supervised by FIFA technical instructor N'dah François Tempa, as well as FIFA physical instructor Nasreddine Cherifi.
The program for this internship includes several activities alternating between theoretical sessions and practical exercises. A physical test is notably scheduled for this Monday at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium annex to evaluate the physical condition of the participating referees.
Through this initiative, the FAF reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the skills of young referees and effectively preparing the next generation of the national refereeing body.
