The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, co-chaired on Monday evening, alongside the President of the Republic of Angola, Mr. Joao Lourenço, the signing ceremony of several agreements and memorandums of understanding covering various fields of cooperation between the two countries.
The signing ceremony for these agreements took place following the talks between the President of the Republic and his Angolan counterpart at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, on the occasion of the latter's state visit to Algeria.
The signed documents include a cooperation agreement between the two countries in the field of oil and gas, and a memorandum of understanding between the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) and the Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX).
The two countries also signed an agreement in the field of vocational training, a cooperation agreement in the field of water resources, and an agreement between the governments of the two countries in the fields of postal services, telecommunications, and information and communication technologies.
Bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Angola was further strengthened by the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Institute of Diplomatic and International Relations (IDRI) and the Angolan Diplomatic Academy, as well as a protocol of agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries and the Angolan Ministry of Health in the field of animal health.
Additionally, the two countries signed a cooperation agreement in the fields of higher education, scientific research, science, technology, and innovation, alongside a protocol of agreement between the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry and the Angolan Ministry of Health in the field of the pharmaceutical industry.
An agreement regarding air transport services and another in the mining sector were also signed by the two countries.
