Applications for the 13th edition of the Algiers International Film Festival, scheduled to take place from November 27 to December 4 in Algiers, are open to filmmakers from around the world, the organizers announced.
In a statement published on the festival's official website, the organizers specified that submissions must be made exclusively via the online platform "Filmfreeway.com."
Submitted films must be feature-length or short films in the categories of fiction, animation, experimental, educational-scientific, and documentary.
In addition, the organizers require that the films must have been produced after January 1, 2025, in Arabic, French, or English (with subtitles where applicable).
Selected films will compete for various festival awards, including the Grand Prize, the Jury Prize, and the Audience Award.
The festival committee has set September 1, 2026, as the deadline for submissions.
