The German pharmaceutical company "Bayer" expressed its interest in strengthening its presence in the Algerian market and expanding cooperation with national actors during a meeting held this Sunday in Algiers between the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouidri, and the Vice President of the group, Mildred Nadah Pita.
A statement from the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry explained that the meeting provided an opportunity to review the reality of existing cooperation between Algeria and Germany in the pharmaceutical industry sector through the group's subsidiary, Bayer Algeria. It also explored prospects for enhancing partnership in line with the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at ensuring health sovereignty.
On this occasion, the Minister emphasized the public authorities' commitment to supporting economic partners and providing the appropriate conditions to realize high-value-added investments. This contributes to strengthening the country's health sovereignty and consolidating Algeria's position as a regional hub in the pharmaceutical industry.
For her part, the Vice President of Bayer expressed the group's interest in expanding its activities in Algeria, praising the dynamism experienced by the pharmaceutical industry sector and the promising opportunities it offers for partnership and investment.
