The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, presided this Sunday in Mohammadia (Algiers) over the inauguration of the Algerian National Digital Services Center. This event falls within the framework of celebrations commemorating the 64th anniversary of Independence and National Sovereignty Day.
The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army (ANP), General Saïd Chanegriha; the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud, the High Commissioner for Digitization, Ms. Meriem Benmouloud; and the Wali of the wilaya of Algiers, Mr. Mohamed Abdennour Rabehi.
Upon his arrival, the President of the Republic was greeted by the national anthem and reviewed military detachments from various branches of the ANP that rendered him honorary salutes before he greeted the attending officials.
The Algerian National Digital Services Center represents the first sovereign digital infrastructure of its kind in Algeria. It is a strategic achievement that reflects the State's commitment to strengthening its digital sovereignty and building a modern, secure digital foundation.
Furthermore, this project serves as a cornerstone for local data hosting, ensuring the continuity of digital services and enabling interoperability between different sectors. This initiative is designed to consolidate digital transformation and enhance the efficiency of public services for the benefit of the citizen.
The center was designed according to the latest international standards in construction, security, and data operations. It consists of two national data centers located in the wilayas of Algiers and Blida, operating under a model that guarantees uninterrupted digital services with an availability rate of 99.98%. It features real-time data synchronization, disaster recovery capabilities, and specialized management for incidents and technical issues.
