Tunisian Minister of Health on an Official Visit to Algeria

The Tunisian Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, accompanied by a high-level delegation, arrived in Algeria on an official visit from the 1st to the 3rd of February 2026, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the Ministry of Health.

According to the statement, this visit falls within the framework  ‘‘of strengthening the Algerian-Tunisian partnership within the healthcare sector, as well as enhancing coordination and cooperation in the fields of health and pharmaceutical industry,  to serve the interests of both countries’’.

The Ministry of Health elucidated within the statement that the programme of the visit includes ‘‘a series of high-level bilateral meetings between both Health Ministers, along with expanded bilateral meetings which include the delegations of both countries. These meetings aim to discuss prospects for cooperation and the exchange of experiences and expertise in the fields of medicines, telemedicine, genetic medicine, vector-borne diseases, and the One Health Approach, in addition to identifying areas of future partnership’’.

The visit also includes, according to the same source, ‘‘field visits to a number of health and hospital facilities, in addition to pharmaceutical industrial institutions, allowing for close insight into Algeria’s leading experience in these areas and enhancing opportunities for cooperation and joint investment between the two countries’’.
