The Tourism and Handicrafts sector continues its series of participations in pivotal international promotional fixtures, marking its presence at the 32nd edition of the International Travel & Hospitality Show, MITT Moscow. The event is currently taking place in the Russian capital, Moscow, from March 11 to 13, 2026.
This participation falls within the strategic framework outlined by the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, aimed at promoting Algerian tourism and strengthening its presence in major global markets. Simultaneously, it serves to rekindle the momentum of fruitful bilateral cooperation with the Russian partner in tourism promotion, through which the sector aims to broaden the horizons of partnership and tourism investment.
This is a significant international fixture, where the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts has involved tourism operators, travel agencies, and even artisans, carefully selected to represent the Algerian presence within the Algerian Pavilion. This pavilion serves as a marketing showcase for the diverse Algerian tourism product, particularly the Saharan one, especially since Saharan tourism is witnessing great interest from international tourists, notably Russians, who are seeking adventure, exploration, and authenticity.
The participants excelled in showcasing Algeria's cultural and artistic heritage within the Algerian Pavilion, which reflects the depth of Algerian antiquity and identity.
On this occasion, the salon's activities enabled Algerian operators to hold direct professional meetings with international travel agents, discussing the importance of enhancing partnership and cooperation opportunities in tourism promotion. Stakeholders also utilized the event to showcase the available potentials of Algeria’s diverse tourist destinations, promoting them to international visitors.
The Algerian participation continues with the same dynamic momentum until today, March 13, 2026, supported and accompanied by the Embassy of Algeria in Moscow.
