The Minister of Mujahidine and Rights Holders, Mr. Abdelmalek Tachrift, accompanied by the Wali of Algiers, Mr. Mohamed Abdennour Rabehi, presided this Thursday at Resistance Square in Algiers over the commemoration ceremony of the 64th anniversary of Victory Day (March 19, 1962), under the slogan "Eternal Glories and Renewed Victories."

On this occasion, the national flag was raised, and the Fatiha was recited in memory of the souls of the righteous martyrs. Wreaths of flowers were laid before the memorial monument at Resistance Square, in the presence of members of both chambers of Parliament, locally elected officials, civil, military, and judicial executives, in addition to Mujahidine and Mujahidate, and representatives of the Revolutionary Family organizations.

In his speech, Mr. Tachrift stated that the independence generation, "imbued with the Novemberist spirit, is determined to build a strong and victorious Algeria, in loyalty to the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs and Mujahidine." He noted that the Algerian people "take pride in their glorious history, cherish the heroism of the righteous martyrs and Mujahidine, and affirm that Algeria has been and will remain strong, respected, and lofty with its sublime values and noble principles."

In this context, the Minister of Mujahidine called for "preserving the trust and message of the martyrs and building Algeria through knowledge, work, and diligence."
