The President of the Republic, Grand Master of the National Order of Merit, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, awarded on Monday a medal with the rank of "Athir" of the Order to the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon.
The awarding of this medal to Mr. Ban Ki-moon comes in recognition of his efforts to enable the UN organization, during his tenure, to fulfill its missions of establishing security and combating poverty and vulnerability.
