The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research launched the experimental version of the digital platform for the National Certificates and Qualifications Framework. This initiative aims to strengthen the link between university outputs and the actual needs of the national economy while facilitating the comparison of degrees nationally and internationally, according to a ministry statement released this Wednesday.
The statement explained that the launch of this beta version represents "a fundamental building block in establishing a transparent and reliable higher education system. It builds a bridge that connects university outputs with the actual needs of the national economy, ensuring that graduates' competencies are recognized and facilitating their professional mobility at the national and international levels."
This platform (https://cnc.mesrs.dz/) serves as "a tool to describe and classify higher education and training certificates based on the levels and characteristics of competencies and learning outcomes—encompassing the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and other criteria associated with each university degree," the same source added.
The platform also aims to "classify educational certificates and qualifications and determine the levels of training and competencies, in addition to facilitating the comparison of degrees nationally and internationally. It seeks to link education to the labor market and professional competencies, as well as clarify the knowledge and skills acquired at each educational level."
