Voting operations for the legislative elections, brought forward by 24 hours, began this Wednesday across mobile polling stations distributed throughout a number of southern wilayas.

In the wilaya of El M'Ghair, the operation kicked off with the single mobile polling station dedicated to covering remote areas. The convoy comprising this mobile station departed from the wilaya delegation of the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE) and will cover the areas of El Berkadjiya and Ezrigue, as well as nomadic populations, the ANIE wilaya delegation announced.

This mobile polling station covers an electorate estimated at 237 voters and is supervised by seven (7) staff members. All logistical and organizational resources have been provided to ensure the electoral teams reach distant population centers, enabling voters to exercise their right to vote under appropriate conditions.

The wilaya of El M'Ghair has an electorate of 99,804 registered voters across 53 voting centers. These centers comprise 247 polling stations distributed throughout the wilaya's territory, supervised by 1,994 staff members.

In the wilaya of El Oued, the early voting operation (24 hours prior) involves 11 mobile polling stations spread across three municipalities: Oumache, Oued El Alenda, and Hassi Khalifa.

Similarly, voters in the wilaya of Adrar began casting their ballots on Wednesday across 4 mobile polling stations in 4 municipalities.

These stations serve a total electorate of 1,771 voters and are deployed across the municipalities of Tsabit, Sebaa, Timi, and Reggane, according to the ANIE wilaya coordinator for Adrar, Mustapha Kasseb.

While casting their ballots, a number of voters in the southern wilayas expressed their dedication to fulfilling their duty and right to vote in these legislative elections, considering it an important milestone in strengthening the path of participatory democracy and consecrating the people's will to contribute to decision-making.

Voting operations had already begun last Monday—72 hours before election day—in several Deep South wilayas, including Ouargla, Tamanrasset, Illizi, Djanet, and In Guezzam. Yesterday, Tuesday, voting started 48 hours early in wilayas such as El Oued, Illizi, and Timimoun.

All human and material resources were mobilized in coordination with local authorities to ensure the success of the operation. This included deploying supervisory staff and various necessary logistical means. The operation was preceded by awareness-raising meetings regarding participation in this electoral event.
