The international press closely followed the proceedings of the legislative elections in Algeria with widespread interest. The electoral process, taking place just days before the Algerian people celebrate the immortal anniversary of Independence Day, was prominently featured in headlines and special coverage.

In its coverage of the electoral process, "Al Araby TV" focused on the opening of polls across the country's various wilayas, allowing voters to cast their ballots in the legislative elections to choose members of the National People's Assembly. The network also highlighted the sheer number of electoral lists participating in this event.

It pointed out that this election is characterized by several factors, including the implementation of a new electoral law and the return of several opposition parties to the competition, "which added further diversity to the electoral race."

"Al Araby TV" also highlighted the early start of voting for the Algerian community abroad, noting that Algerian consulates worldwide opened their doors to voters five days prior. Furthermore, it covered the voting process for nomadic populations, emphasizing the State's mobilization of mobile polling stations for remote and border areas—a necessity given Algeria's unique geography and vast expanse.

For its part, the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper provided a comprehensive analysis of the electoral scene. It detailed the stages of the electoral process from the opening of voting centers across the entire Algerian territory, enabling over 24 million voters to elect members of the National People's Assembly for a new parliamentary term. The newspaper also highlighted the voter turnout at various polling centers from the very first minutes of the election.

The newspaper also detailed the competing electoral lists in the legislative elections, which were held under the slogan "Be an Active Partner in Decision-Making... Vote and Participate," utilizing an open-list proportional representation system with preferential voting and no mixing (panachage).

The BBC covered the event under the headline "Algerians Elect 407 Members to the National People's Assembly," discussing the efforts of nearly 10,000 candidates to convince over 24 million voters of their electoral platforms.

The BBC broadcast the voices of several voters in the southern wilayas, who affirmed their "commitment to fulfilling their duty and exercising their electoral right in these legislative elections, viewing them as a crucial milestone in strengthening the path of participatory democracy and consecrating the people's will to contribute to decision-making."

Meanwhile, Egypt's Al-Ahram Gate quoted statements made by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, after casting his ballot. The President affirmed that the electoral process "is taking place under good conditions that inspire optimism," strongly emphasizing that "the era of quotas in elections and tampering with the people's vote is over."

The news portal also provided a detailed breakdown of the number of voters at home and abroad, the competing electoral lists across various constituencies inside and outside Algeria, and the system governing the voting process.

Monte Carlo Doualiya radio closely followed the legislative elections in all their details, highlighting the progression of the electoral process, which called upon over 24 million Algerian voters to elect deputies to the National People's Assembly for a five-year parliamentary term.

Furthermore, China's Xinhua News Agency covered Algerians voting to choose their parliamentary representatives, reviewing all stages of the electoral process since its launch. The agency noted that these elections coincide with the Algerian people's celebration of Independence Day (July 5, 1962).

The Italian news agency ANSA, which covered the event from the start of voting, quoted the President of the Republic's statement emphasizing that the "quota era" in elections and tampering with the people's vote had ended, reminding everyone that the law penalizes any violation of the legitimacy of the vote.

For its part, the Spanish newspaper El Debate highlighted the significant influence of the Algerian community abroad in these legislative elections.

The newspaper noted that the nearly one million voting-age Algerians residing abroad "enjoy considerable influence through the allocation of 12 seats" for the diaspora in the incoming National People's Assembly, recalling that this allocation was increased from eight to twelve seats.
