The eastern wilayas of the country recorded a heavy turnout of voters this Thursday afternoon, especially among young people, at polling stations to fulfill their electoral duty and choose members of the People's National Assembly.
The legislative elections are taking place in this region of the country under an atmosphere marked by tight organization, with all necessary material, human, and logistical resources mobilized to ensure they run under good conditions, according to the provincial delegations of the National Independent Authority for Elections.
Citizens met by APS at a number of polling stations in Bou Saâda expressed their happiness on this "important day" in the history of the region, which was promoted to a full-fledged wilaya under the recent administrative division.
In this regard, Ben Aïssa Houhou, a retired school principal, stated that this day will remain in the memory of Bou Saâda's citizens, as Bou Saâda will be represented for the first time on the occasion of these legislative elections by deputies specific to the wilaya, expressing his hope that they will work to convey the concerns of the population.
For his part, Nasser Dilmi, a middle school teacher, highlighted that the youth in Bou Saâda today have a real opportunity to contribute to strengthening state institutions and making their voices heard by choosing their representatives, calling on them to head to polling stations and choose the right competencies.
Ahmed, a craftsman from Constantine, also noted that all citizens are called upon to vote heavily and ensure the success of this important electoral event.
In the same context, a group of women who headed to the polling station in Zighoud Youcef in Constantine to cast their ballots emphasized that participating in the elections constitutes a direct contribution to reinforcing institutional building and consolidating achieved gains.
Voters interviewed by APS in the wilayas of Annaba and Souk Ahras unanimously agreed that participating in this crucial electoral milestone represents a national duty and a responsibility falling upon every citizen, stressing that voting is an opportunity to contribute to building the nation.
