The President of the Council of the Nation, Mr. Azouz Nasri, paid a courtesy visit on Wednesday to the President of the National People's Assembly (APN), Mr. Brahim Boughali, within the framework of the institutional relations uniting the two chambers of Parliament, a statement from the Council of the Nation indicated.
The meeting provided an opportunity to highlight "the solidity of the relations uniting the two parliamentary institutions, marked by harmony, institutional coordination, and complementarity in the exercise of constitutional missions." This thereby enshrines the principle of a "bicameral Parliament with a single voice" and reflects the foundations of participatory democracy, serving the supreme interest of the Nation, in order to strengthen the position of the legislative institution and its role in supporting the national reform process and comprehensive development, the statement specified.
On this occasion, Mr. Nasri praised the efforts made by the APN President within the framework of "complementary work and permanent coordination with the Council of the Nation, which contributes to strengthening parliamentary performance and supporting the process of building a victorious Algeria, the foundations of which are being laid by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune," the same source added.
