The Acting President of the Independent National Authority of Elections (ANIE), Mr. Karim Khelfane, chaired a meeting of the Authority's Council this Wednesday, dedicated to reviewing the progress of the electoral process, a statement from the institution indicated.
The statement specified that during this meeting, an examination was conducted of the "review of the progress of the electoral process, from the summoning of the electoral college by the President of the Republic for the election of the members of the National People's Assembly, scheduled for July 2, 2026, up to the electoral silence phase."
The same source added that the meeting also focused on "the progress of the voting operation for the national community established abroad, as well as the conditions under which the voting took place in the mobile polling stations across fifteen southern wilayas."
Participants also examined "the final preparations related to polling day, in order to ensure the smooth running of the electoral operation," the statement concluded.
