During its meeting held yesterday, Sunday, and chaired by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Council of Ministers decided to increase the National Guaranteed Minimum Wage (SNMG) from 20,000 DZD to 24,000 DZD starting in January 2026, according to a statement issued Sunday by the Council of Ministers.
“The Council of Ministers has decided to increase the National Guaranteed Minimum Wage from 20,000 DZD to 24,000 DZD as of January 2026. This adjustment is the first of such magnitude in decades since the beginning of SNMG increases, the last being the 2,000 DZD raise decided by the President in 2020,” the statement added.
