History Professor Mouloud Grine called upon the elite to bear their responsibility in protecting history and ensuring its transmission to future generations.
According to Grine, who appeared as a guest on the Hiwar Multimedia program, the mission of documenting history rests on the shoulders of the elite, particularly history specialists. They are required to scrutinize and examine the course of historical events and ensure they are passed down to the youth.
The history professor believes that today's youth, especially given their near-total reliance on social media, are searching for role models to look up to in both their professional and personal lives. Fortunately, Algeria possesses a rich history and exceptional personalities that can be highlighted so that young people can benefit from their heroism and follow their example.
In the same context, Grine stressed the need to verify historical information published on social media platforms to prevent the falsification of history. He warned against the distortion of historical facts by certain parties seeking to obliterate the Algerian identity.
Furthermore, Grine addressed the necessity of paying attention to the history of our glorious revolution and striving to disseminate it throughout the entire year, rather than limiting it to official occasions.
