Ten Spanish associations in the Valencia region have renewed their support for the Sahrawi people in their legitimate struggle for self-determination and independence.
During a meeting held by the Polisario Front representative in the province of Valencia, Al-Mami Abidi, with representatives of friendship and solidarity associations supporting the just Sahrawi cause in the region, the Spanish associations expressed their categorical rejection of all attempts to circumvent the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination. They stressed the necessity of accelerating the end of the Moroccan occupation and putting a stop to the suffering of the Sahrawi people.
They also demanded that the authorities of their country return to their traditional stance supporting the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and adhere to their historical and legal responsibilities until the decolonization of Western Sahara is achieved.
The meeting was dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of supporting the Sahrawi cause. It also discussed the latest developments regarding the issue at regional, continental, and international levels, specifically UN Security Council Resolution 2797 issued on October 31, and Morocco's attempt to distort its proper course.
Furthermore, the meeting highlighted the suffering of Sahrawis in the occupied part of Western Sahara resulting from the military siege and media blackout imposed on the occupied territories, as well as the refusal to allow field visits for journalists and international observers.
One of the most important outcomes of the meeting was the agreement to unify efforts and continue supporting the Sahrawi cause, particularly under the current circumstances.
