The jury for the President of the Republic's Award for the Best Startup of 2026 was installed under the supervision of the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, according to a statement from the ministry on Monday.
The committee, installed on Sunday in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 26-86 of January 19, 2026, establishing the award, includes experts from both the public and private sectors in the field of modern technologies across several technical specialties. It also comprises an expert in venture capital and finance, experts from the National Labeling Committee, an expert in industrial property, and Algerian competencies residing abroad.
This award aims to highlight the best startups across various categories, encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, and promote a new knowledge-based economy. It also seeks to bolster competitiveness and excellence, promote innovative products and services developed by national talents, bridge the gap between innovation and economic entities, and improve the visibility of the ecosystem at both national and international levels.
The award targets three (3) categories of ecosystem actors: the "Best Accelerated Company" award, which includes a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of 3 million DZD; the "Best Startup" award, featuring a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of 2 million DZD; and the "Best Innovative Project" award, which grants a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of 1 million DZD, the statement concluded.
