The President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Kamel Moula, met with the President of the France-Algeria Association, Ségolène Royal, on the sidelines of her visit to Algeria. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, according to a statement issued by the Council on Wednesday.
The talks focused on economic issues and prospects for developing cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, and enterprise development, the same source added.
In this context, Ms. Royal expressed the Association's desire to "adopt a constructive approach aimed at supporting economic initiatives and encouraging constructive dialogue between the various actors involved."
She also stressed the France-Algeria Association's commitment to contributing to "establishing appropriate frameworks that enhance stability, clarity, and the sustainability of economic projects."
For his part, Mr. Moula explained that "national economic priorities require concrete and immediate responses, particularly with regard to the development of national enterprises," emphasizing the "necessity of strengthening productive capacities to achieve food, health, and energy security goals, which justifies the diversification of partnerships and supply sources at the international level."
The two parties agreed to continue a regular dialogue between the Algerian Economic Renewal Council and the France-Algeria Association, with the aim of identifying conditions capable of creating an environment conducive to economic initiatives and investment, serving mutual interests.
