The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a message of congratulations this Sunday from the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, on the occasion of the successful launch of the space satellite "Alsat-3".
The text of the congratulatory message read: "Your Excellency, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Your Excellency, it gives me great pleasure to extend to you my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the government and people of Algeria, on behalf of the Chinese government and people, on the occasion of the successful launch of the space satellite (Alsat-3)."
He explained, stating: "The (Alsat-3) space satellite project symbolizes a new successful collaboration between the Chinese and Algerian sides in the field of space, following the (Alsat-1) satellite project. It represents an important embodiment of the comprehensive strategic relations between the two countries." He noted that "the Chinese side is ready to work with the Algerian side to deepen cooperation in the field of space and exert joint efforts to raise the level of science and technology, in a way that drives the economic and social development of both countries."
The Chinese President added: "Algeria is an important strategic partner for China in the West Asia and North Africa region, and shares a deep historical friendship with China. In recent years, Chinese-Algerian relations have witnessed continuous progress under our joint leadership, where mutual political trust between the two countries has been continuously consolidated and practical cooperation has achieved fruitful results. I attach great importance to the development of Chinese-Algerian relations and am ready to work with you to continue enriching the content of the comprehensive strategic partnership relations between China and Algeria, to better serve both peoples."
He concluded by saying: "I also welcome Your Excellency to attend the Second China-Arab Summit in China. I wish Your Excellency abundant health and continued success."
