German authorities have reaffirmed their support for European Union (EU) sanctions against Zionist settlers waging a campaign of violence and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
During a press briefing held on Monday in Berlin, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Martin Giese, stated that his country "would support these sanctions, while specifying that the final decision rests with Brussels."
"This is clearly the will of the federal government," Giese insisted, reaffirming Germany's commitment to moving forward on this issue.
On Saturday, European diplomatic missions in occupied Al Quds and Ramallah, in occupied Palestine, condemned the escalation of attacks by Zionist settlers and the army against Palestinians, demanding sanctions against the perpetrators of these attacks.
