Passing of Former President of the Republic, Moudjahid Liamine Zeroual

The Presidency of the Republic announced on Saturday the passing of the former President of the Republic, the mujahid Liamine Zeroual, on Saturday evening at the Mohamed Seghir Nekkache Military Hospital in Algiers following a long illness, according to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.

"The Presidency of the Republic announces the passing of the former President of the Republic, the mujahid Liamine Zeroual, which occurred this evening at the Mohamed Seghir Nekkache Military Hospital in Algiers, following a long illness. To God we belong and to Him we shall return," the statement read.
