The Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud, received this Wednesday in Algiers the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Algeria, Anna Block Mazoyer, according to a statement from the ministry.
The same source explained that the meeting "provided an opportunity to exchange views on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation on issues of common interest, particularly in the fields of security cooperation and traffic safety, with a focus on exchanging expertise and experiences, especially regarding awareness and the prevention of traffic accidents."
In this context, Mr. Sayoud affirmed the readiness of his ministerial department "to continue strengthening cooperation to serve mutual interests and enhance the exchange of expertise in relevant fields between the two countries," the statement added.
The meeting took place at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of its central officials, where the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Algeria expressed her gratitude for the warm reception, according to the same statement.
