The President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received this Monday a message of condolence from the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mr. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, in which he expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of the former President and Mujahid, Liamine Zeroual.
The Chairperson of the Commission extended his deepest condolences to the Algerian government and people, and to the family of the late President, emphasizing the African Union Commission's solidarity with the Algerian nation on this mournful occasion.
He further praised the virtues and merits of the deceased, characterized by sacrifice and dignity, noting his ability to lead the country through a critical phase of its history with courage and wisdom.
