The Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee (COA) is continuing its efforts to modernize the national sports sector through the launch of an advanced digital platform dedicated to managing international sporting events, the body announced in a statement on Tuesday.
In line with the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and as part of a broader transition toward digital solutions, the COA organized a training session for representatives of national sports federations. The meeting focused on the procedures for using and operating the newly launched digital platform, developed within the framework of a "paperless" vision.
Considered the cornerstone of the "Towards Digitalization" project, the platform aims to gradually replace traditional paper-based administrative procedures while accelerating the flow of information between the COA and various sporting bodies. It also seeks to enhance transparency and ensure greater accuracy in the processing of sports-related data.
Equipped with integrated logistical and technical tools, the platform was specifically designed for the management of international sporting events. Its effective rollout coincides with Algeria's participation in the 2026 Mediterranean Games, allowing administrative and technical teams to test its efficiency, particularly in managing delegations, registrations, and real-time activity tracking.
The training session saw strong participation from federation representatives, who received practical instructions on platform access, updating athlete data, managing administrative and technical files, and using digital tools to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and optimize processing times.
Furthermore, the COA reaffirmed its commitment to providing optimal conditions for athletes and federations by integrating modern technologies into the heart of sporting operations. To this end, several other digital projects are currently under development to support athletes, young talents, and federations, as well as to streamline all administrative procedures, with the ultimate goal of promoting Algerian sport on both national and international levels.
