The Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts announced on Thursday the launch of the first edition of the National Innovation Competition for the Smart Promotion of Algerian Tourism. Registration remains open until August 19, according to a statement from the Ministry.
The competition, "IA Tour Algérie 2026," offers an opportunity for talented and creative Algerians to present innovative digital solutions that contribute to enhancing the attractiveness of Algeria as a tourist destination and developing tourism promotion tools using artificial intelligence and digital transformation technologies.
Those wishing to participate can submit their applications via the link: https://www.mta.gov.dz/ia-tour-algerie-2026, with inquiries and submissions also accepted by email at: smart_tourisme@mta.gov.dz.
The competition is open to any Algerian who has a digital solution promoting tourism in Algeria using artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies — whether a student, researcher, startup owner, or holder of an innovative project, irrespective of their place of residence. Results will be announced on September 27, to coincide with World Tourism Day, according to the same source.
