The President of the Constitutional Court, Ms. Leïla Aslaoui, participated on Friday in the plenary session of the 147th session of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (the Venice Commission), currently held in Venice, Italy, according to a statement from the Court.
The agenda of the Venice Commission included presentations on "the activities of the Commission and its various bodies," as well as "the exercise of its advisory role through the adoption of draft opinions on legislative texts concerning a number of member states," the source added.
The plenary session was preceded on Thursday by a joint meeting of the "sub-commissions on the judiciary, the rule of law, and democratic institutions."
Ms. Aslaoui was accompanied during the plenary session by Constitutional Court member Bahri Saadallah, according to the same source.
