Defender Ramy Bensebaïni was forced to sit out the match as he has not yet fully recovered from a foot injury, though this is not expected to affect his participation in the upcoming World Cup.

Algeria competes in Group J, which also includes Autriche (Austria) and Jordanie (Jordan).
Returning to the world stage after a twelve-year absence, the national team seeks to write a new chapter in its footballing history and confirm the ambitions shown since the start of preparations, relying on a cohesive squad determined to rise to the challenge against the world’s strongest teams.
