The Algerian national football team held its final training session on Tuesday evening at the Rock Chalk Park complex in Lawrence, Kansas (University of Kansas), USA. This session was in preparation for their friendly match against Bolivia, the final preparatory test ahead of the 2026 World Cup, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced on its official website on Wednesday.
The session began at 6:00 PM local time under the guidance of the technical staff, who focused on final tactical adjustments and refining specific technical aspects for the upcoming encounter.
The training took place in an atmosphere defined by seriousness, diligence, and deep concentration, reflecting the players' determination to approach this fixture in peak condition.
The "Greens" will face the Bolivian national team during the night of Wednesday to Thursday at 1:00 AM (Algerian time / 7:00 PM local time). The match will be played behind closed doors for organizational reasons; however, accredited media will be permitted to cover the event.
This friendly match serves as the final preparation test for the national team before their official entry into the World Cup.
The national team will kick off its tournament campaign on June 17 with a high-stakes match against reigning world champions Argentina at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City (2:00 AM Algerian time). Algeria is competing in Group J, which also includes Austria and Jordan.
Returning to the world stage after a twelve-year absence, the Algerian selection hopes to write a new chapter in its history and confirm the ambitions displayed since the beginning of their preparations, driven by a squad determined to rise to the challenge against the world’s elite nations.
