The Director General of National Security, Mr. Ali Badaoui, received this Thursday the President of the German Federal Police, Mr. Dieter Romann, who visited the General Directorate of National Security leading a high-level police delegation, according to a statement from the department.
The visit, which aims to strengthen bilateral police cooperation, began with one-on-one talks between Mr. Badaoui and his German counterpart, followed by expanded discussions involving both delegations. The talks focused on “ways to enhance and upgrade cooperation mechanisms, particularly in border management, combating illegal migration, and large-scale event management,” as well as “unifying efforts regarding issues of common interest, in line with current and emerging security challenges”.
Following this, the German delegation proceeded to the headquarters of the Border Police Directorate. There, they were briefed on the tasks assigned to this directorate and its subordinate services and units regarding the management of cross-border movements of individuals and vehicles, according to the same source.
