The member states of the European Union (EU) agreed yesterday, Monday, on new sanctions targeting Zionist settlers guilty of violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, indicated EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.

Ms. Kallas announced on social media that the foreign ministers of EU member states had approved this decision, which outlines several measures against Zionist settlers. The freezing of assets within the European Union and a ban on entering the EU are among the planned sanctions.

This decision, which had been stalled for months, comes today amid a resurgence of settler violence and the expansion of settlements in the West Bank, occupied by the Zionist entity. Violence by Zionist settlers is a daily occurrence.

They do not hesitate to kill Palestinian civilians, settle on their lands, and loot their property.

"It was high time to move from gridlock to action," stated Ms. Kallas. An official decision by the 27 member states still needs to be made for these measures to take effect.
