The National Independent Authority for Elections announced in a statement this Sunday the necessity of the immediate transmission of receipt slips for donations related to electoral campaign financing, on the occasion of the election of members of the People's National Assembly next July 2.
The same source explained that the meeting, which took place at the ministry's headquarters in the presence of officials from both ministries, falls within the framework of efforts aimed at strengthening integration between various economic sectors and supporting the development process of national production.
In the same context, it emphasized "the obligation to do this instantaneously by the financial secretaries of the electoral campaign, in addition to attaching all receipts to the full file of the electoral campaign account, which is deposited with the Electoral Campaign Financing Control Committee."
The statement highlighted that this decision came "pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 26-145 dated 16 Shawwal 1447 AH, corresponding to April 4, 2026, involving the convocation of the electorate for the election of members of the People's National Assembly on Thursday, July 2, 2026, and in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 dated 26 Rajab 1442 AH, corresponding to March 10, 2021, containing the Organic Law related to the electoral system, amended and supplemented, and Executive Decree No. 21-188 dated May 5, 2021, which specifies the conditions for preparing and delivering the receipt handed to the donor by the financial secretary of the electoral campaign, particularly Article 05 thereof."
