General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, emphasized that the fruitful results the People's National Army continues to record in the fight against the remnants of terrorism serve as a motivation to exert further efforts to continue the process of developing and modernizing the armed forces, in line with the greatness of the constitutional tasks entrusted to them.
This came in a congratulatory message he addressed to the personnel of the People's National Army on the occasion of the Hijri New Year 1448, which read as follows:
"On the occasion of the Hijri New Year 1448, it gives me great pleasure to extend to all officers, non-commissioned officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian staff of the People's National Army, and through them to their families and loved ones, my warmest congratulations and most sincere blessings, hoping that the new year will be full of achievements and successes, just like its predecessor."
"On this blessed occasion, I cannot fail to commend your tremendous efforts and immense sacrifices to ensure that our country enjoys security and stability. This is one of the noble tasks honored by the People's National Army, the successor of the National Liberation Army, and supported by the guidance and directives of the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defence. It is a responsibility executed to the fullest and most perfect extent, as evidenced by the fruitful results continuously recorded in fighting the remnants of terrorism. This motivates us all as military personnel—each within his field of work and scope of authority—to exert more dedicated effort to pursue our practical path, through which we aspire to achieve further development and modernization for our armed forces, in line with the greatness of the constitutional tasks entrusted to them.
From this perspective, I urge all personnel of the People's National Army, each within the boundaries of his authority and responsibilities, to continue their diligent and loyal work to reinforce the foundations of our longstanding institution's resilience and strength, in accordance with safeguarding the supreme interests of our beloved homeland."
