The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) received a delegation of Saudi businessmen on Wednesday in Algiers, led by the Vice-President of the Algerian-Saudi Business Council, Ali Ben Abdelaziz Al-Horaish. During the meeting, the two parties examined ways to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries on the sidelines of their participation in the 57th edition of the Algiers International Fair (FIA).

During this meeting, the Agency's executives gave a presentation on the investment system in Algeria. They highlighted the reforms undertaken by public authorities to improve the business climate, the advantages and other guarantees offered by the investment law, and the opportunities available in the agriculture, industry, energy, renewable energy, mining, and tourism sectors.

They also presented AAPI's missions and the new prerogatives of the one-stop shops as a mechanism for supporting investors and materializing investment projects. This is in addition to the facilities offered by the investor's digital platform, particularly regarding the allocation of economic land and access to the services of the partnership exchange, which is dedicated to connecting investors with project promoters.

On this occasion, the two parties exchanged views on the prospects for strengthening the Algerian-Saudi economic partnership and increasing the presence of Saudi investments in Algeria.

The discussions also covered various issues related to investment projects, financing mechanisms, profit repatriation procedures, legal guarantees granted to foreign investors, and the reforms that have strengthened the stability and clarity of the legislative framework governing investment.
