On behalf of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb is overseeing today, at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center (CIC) in Algiers, the ceremony commemorating the International Day Against Drug Abuse. The event is organized under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and is held this year under the theme: "One Year Since the Launch of the National Strategy... Together We Meet the Challenge."
This occasion serves as a milestone to assess the outcomes of one year of implementing the National Strategy for the Prevention of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (2025–2029) and to review the progress achieved in realizing its goals, thereby contributing to the reinforcement of prevention and control mechanisms in the coming phase.
