The national community established in Spain continued on Monday to fulfill its electoral duty for the third consecutive day, as part of the upcoming July 2 legislative elections. This took place under rigorous organizational conditions, with the mobilization of all necessary resources to guarantee the smooth running of this electoral event.
Since the beginning of the operation, the electoral center of the Algerian consulate in Alicante has recorded an influx of numerous community members who have come to choose their representatives to the National People's Assembly (APN).
In a statement to APS, the delegate of the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE) in Alicante, Mustapha Yettou, indicated that "the electoral operation is proceeding under normal conditions, in accordance with the provisions of the law and the procedures in force."
"The polling stations opened at the scheduled time, and all the necessary human and material resources have been mobilized to allow voters to exercise their right to vote under the best conditions," he added.
He further emphasized that the competent authorities are monitoring the progress of the operation across all polling stations to address any anomalies that may arise, while ensuring the integrity of the electoral process.
The Algerian consulate in Alicante counts 10,306 voters, distributed across seven polling stations: Alicante, Valencia, Murcia, Seville, Almeria, Malaga, and Castellon.
As a reminder, the Algerian embassy in Spain houses the ANIE coordination headquarters for the 8th geographical zone of the national community established abroad, which groups together 19 diplomatic and consular missions across 14 countries.
