The President of the Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, confirmed that he received with deep sorrow and sadness the news of the death of a number of children and the injury of others following a fire that broke out at a child care institution, expressing his condolences to the families of the victims and his wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
The condolence message published by the President of the Republic read:
"In submission to the will and destiny of Allah, I received the news of the death of children and the injury of others among the children of Algeria following a fire that broke out at a child care institution.
In the face of this great tragedy, which occurred on the morrow of the commemoration of National Children's Day, I pray to Almighty Allah to bestow His vast mercy upon the deceased and to grant the injured a speedy recovery. There is no power nor strength except in Allah; indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return."
