Jordanian referee Adham Makhadmeh will officiate the Algeria A' - United Arab Emirates quarter-final match of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, scheduled for this Friday (18:30) at Al-Bayt Stadium.
The Referees' Commission of the International Federation of Football (FIFA) has selected a Jordanian trio to oversee this match. Makhadmeh will be in charge of the encounter, assisted by his compatriots Mohamed Al Kalaf (first assistant) and Ahmad Al Roalle (second assistant), while the fourth official will be Costa Rican Juan Calderon.
Regarding the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, it will be led by American Allen Chapman, who will be assisted by Saudi Arabian Abdullah Alshehri.
The Algeria A' - United Arab Emirates quarter-final will be the third match officiated by Makhadmeh in this 2025 edition of the Arab Cup. The 38-year-old referee has previously officiated two group stage matches: Saudi Arabia vs Oman (Group B) and Iraq vs Sudan (Group D).
It is worth recalling that the defending champion, the Algerian national team, secured its place in the second round after finishing at the top of Group D (7 points), while the United Arab Emirates booked their ticket by claiming second place in Group C (4 points), with a record of one win, one draw, and one loss.
