The management of Bayer Leverkusen announced yesterday, Monday, that Algerian international Ibrahim Maza has won the team's Player of the Season award for the concluded 2025–2026 football season.
Leverkusen's management wrote in a post on their Facebook account: "The rising Algerian international is crowned Player of the Season for the 2025–2026 season."
Maza had caught everyone's attention in his very first season with Leverkusen, which he joined in the summer of 2025 from Hertha Berlin, competing in the 2. Bundesliga.
In his debut season with Leverkusen, the "Fennecs" player featured in 44 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 6 assists.
