The third edition of the Algerian Road Cycling Cup for Juniors and Seniors, which was scheduled to take place from June 18 to 20 in the province of Tlemcen, has been postponed to a later date, the Algerian Cycling Federation (FAC) announced.
The Federation stated on its social media platforms that the decision was made for organizational reasons following a working session involving security services, local authorities, and the Cycling League of the province of Tlemcen, the event's organizer.
The same source added that the new date for the event will be announced soon, once all necessary preparations for its organization are completed.
According to the original program, the competition was set to begin on Thursday, June 18, with a 31 km time trial between Mafrouche and Terny. The second stage was planned for Friday on a 3.16 km closed circuit at the Lalla Setti plateau, to be covered 25 times for a total distance of 80 km. The third and final stage consisted of a 152 km road race.
