Algerians Slimane Moula and Djamel Sedjati (800 meters) have confirmed their participation in the ninth round of the 2026 Diamond League athletics meetings, in Eugene, United States of America, on Saturday, July 4th.
This event will feature the participation of an elite group of the world's most prominent champions in the discipline, most notably the 17-year-old American Cooper Lutkenhaus, who settled last Wednesday's Oslo race in his favor at the expense of the Olympic and world champion, Kenya's Emmanuel Wanyonyi.
It is well known that Sedjati—the bronze medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympics—possesses a strong personal best time of (1:41.46), ahead of his compatriot Slimane Moula (1:42.44).
Moula currently occupies fourth place in the provisional standings of the 800-meter race qualifying for the 2026 Diamond League final, which is scheduled to be organized in early September in Brussels.
