Education: Classes Suspended This Wednesday and Thursday in Wilayas Forecast to Experience Violent Winds

The Ministry of National Education announced in a statement yesterday, Tuesday, the suspension of classes at all educational levels on Wednesday and Thursday in the wilayas expected to experience violent winds reaching up to 120 km/h.

This decision follows "an urgent telegram issued by the Ministry of Interior, Local Assemblies, and Land Planning, regarding the Special Weather Bulletin warning against violent winds capable of reaching 120 km/h, effective from Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 3:00 PM until Thursday, January 29, 2026."

The wilayas affected by this measure are: Oran, Tlemcen, Aïn Temouchent, Mostaganem, Sidi Bel Abbès, Saïda, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Mascara, Relizane, Naâma, El Bayadh, Chlef, Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdès, Tizi Ouzou, Béjaïa, Aïn Defla, Blida, Médéa, Bouira, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Sétif, Mila, Guelma, Oum El Bouaghi, Khenchela, Tébessa, Biskra, M'Sila, Djelfa, Laghouat, Ouled Djellal, Souk Ahras, Batna, and Constantine.

Therefore, "the Ministry of National Education announces the suspension of classes at all educational levels on Wednesday, January 28, and Thursday, January 29, 2026, in the aforementioned wilayas," the statement concluded.
