This followed a defeat against the Faroe Islands with a score of 23-40 (halftime 15-23) in the ranking match for 23rd place, held this Friday as part of the President’s Cup.
Algeria had finished the preliminary round in third place in Group E with two points, trailing Danmark (6 points) and China (4 points), while Guinea finished at the bottom of the group with no points.
