The Algerian national football team arrived on Tuesday evening in Vancouver, Canada, in anticipation of their Round of 32 match against Switzerland in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced on its official website this Wednesday.
Immediately upon arrival at Vancouver airport at 03:15 AM (Algerian time), the delegation headed directly to their base camp.
Riyad Mahrez and his teammates held their final training session on Tuesday in the city of Lawrence, at the Rock Chalk Park complex belonging to the University of Kansas. During this session, national selector Vladimir Petković and his technical staff focused on tactical aspects and final adjustments before the encounter.
The national team’s schedule for Wednesday evening includes a final training session at Killarney Stadium.
The national team will face Switzerland on Friday, July 3 (Saturday, July 4, at 04:00 AM Algerian time), in a match where Les Verts seek to secure a ticket to the Round of 16.
