Members of the U.S. Congress have commended Algeria’s pivotal role and pioneering experience in counter-terrorism during a hearing dedicated to security in North Africa and the Sahel region.
The lawmakers highlighted that Algerian-American cooperation in the fight against terrorism constitutes a positive axis of collaboration. They emphasized that regional security and confronting extremist groups remain pragmatic and essential areas for the bilateral partnership.
Furthermore, members of Congress expressed clear appreciation for the Algerian role in counter-terrorism, characterizing it as effective and grounded in field expertise and accumulated experience.
They further noted that Algeria acts as a stabilizing force in North Africa and the Sahel, owing to its historical experience in confronting terrorism.
