They also expressed their conviction that the future of the Sahel will be built by the countries of the region themselves, through local and inclusive solutions.
They emphasized that the common historical heritage, the unity of ambitions and aspirations, as well as the community of destiny in the face of regional challenges constitute factors mobilizing all countries of the Sahel and the Sahara. Furthermore, they reiterated their rejection of any foreign interference in the continent's affairs.
Facing the persistence of terrorist threats and transnational organized crime, the leaders of the two countries expressed their deep concern and affirmed that the security of one is inseparable from that of the other.

Conscious of the considerable potential of their economic exchanges, the two Presidents agreed to accelerate the completion of the Trans-Saharan Road project and other structural projects linking the two countries, particularly the Trans-Saharan Fiber Optic Backbone project and the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline project, as well as to develop energy cooperation in the hydrocarbons and renewable energy sectors, with particular attention to the electrification of rural border areas.
They committed to facilitating trade exchanges through the simplification of customs and administrative procedures, the creation of organized border markets, the promotion of cooperation projects in the agriculture, health, and services sectors, as well as the launch of a joint study on the possibility of creating an integrated border cooperation zone favoring local development. Particular attention will be paid to the realization of the commercial corridor to strengthen trade exchanges between the two countries.
The leaders of the two countries noted the convergence of their views on major regional and international issues, while calling for African political solutions to regional crises and a restructuring of the regional security system.
They also advocated for the reform of the international financial system to guarantee equitable access for African countries to climate and development financing.
The two leaders expressed their solidarity with just causes, in accordance with international law and United Nations resolutions, reaffirming their support for initiatives aimed at strengthening stability and prosperity in the Sahel region.
The two Presidents welcomed this historic visit, which has opened a new era of confident, ambitious, and future-oriented cooperation, expressing their willingness to meet regularly to evaluate the progress made and to instill an irreversible dynamic in the rapprochement between the two brotherly peoples.
