Algeria has welcomed the content of the statement issued this Wednesday by the Vatican authorities, announcing an official visit by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to Algeria, at the invitation of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a communiqué from the Presidency of the Republic.
The statement read: "Algeria welcomes the content of the statement issued today by the authorities of the Vatican State, which announces that His Holiness Pope Leo XIV will undertake an official visit to Algeria, upon the invitation of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune."
"This visit will serve to strengthen the ties of friendship, trust, and understanding that exist between Algeria and the Vatican State. It will undoubtedly open new horizons for cooperation, reflecting their mutual belief in the necessity of building a world where peace, dialogue, and justice prevail, in the face of the various current challenges confronting humanity," the source added.
