Algerian runner Souad Aït Salem secured first place in the Masters category at the Nuaillé Half-Marathon, held on Sunday in France.
The race was run over the standard distance of 21.1 kilometers through the Nuaillé forest estate (Maine-et-Loire), and the Algerian international completed it in a time of 1:14:30.
This strong time earned Aït Salem second place in the overall standings of the competition (across all categories), which was open to both men and women.
This performance proves that, even at 47 years of age, Aït Salem remains one of Algeria's top middle- and long-distance runners.
